DESCRIPTOR/STATS

Albina One will be Albina Vision Trust’s catalyzing project for the historic district of lower Albina. With 94 family-focused units, this project will anchor the revitalization of lower Albina; set the stage for intentional diversity and inclusion in the central city; establish the standard for excellence in contractor diversity and broaden wealth building opportunities.

This project is part of a broader mission of Albina Vision Trust to honor lower Albina’s past by transforming 94 acres of under-utilized, central city property that is adjacent to the river, into a socially and economically inclusive community of residents, business, artists, makers and visitors. The vision is to create a diverse neighborhood surrounded by intentionally conceived parks, plazas, civic and cultural event spaces, and seamlessly connected to the river and surrounding neighborhoods

  • The affordable housing units will be family-focused as 57% are 2 or 3-bedroom units, and the target population will be young families, with a focus on single fathers.

  • Common areas of the building will be designed to create and catalyze community within and between families.

  • 32 units are set at 30% AMI, half of which will include Section 8 vouchers for residents, and the remaining 62% will be at 60% AMI.

  • Project team includes Colas Construction and LEVER Architecture

  • Breaking ground: Estimated Spring 2023
